At Caris, you will have a career, not just a job. You will want to go to work every day, will spend more time with patients and will have more autonomy in decision-making. We offer day-shift work, low patient-to-staff ratio and the chance to make a profound difference in the lives of patients and their families when they need us most. We also offer free training for applicants with an RN or LPN license or CNA certification. If you are compassionate and skilled, there is a place for you at Caris.

The Week Night Registered Nurse is scheduled to work “after hours” on week days.  The RN is responsible for the nursing care of patients according to the physician's orders.  The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating total patient care and nursing care plans for each patient.

Responsibilities

  • The RN is scheduled to make patient visits each week.  The RN may be able to resolve some issues by phone.  However, many “after hours” phone calls will require the RN to make a visit.
  • The RN agrees to be available for work-related phone calls throughout the scheduled “after hours” work hours.  Work related phone calls should be accepted by the RN without allowing it to go to voice mail; unless the RN is assisting a patient or on a phone call with a patient/family.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the state of operation.
  • Nursing experience required, with experience in Hospice or Home Health preferred.
  • Must posses a sound knowledge of nursing principles, procedures and elements of patient family teaching.
